Hear and Say
Hear and Say Opening Worlds for Children. Hear and Say was established in 1992 by Dr Dimity Dornan AO and today provides services and programs to over 2,000 children, young adults and families annually across its six centres located in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Cairns and Townsville. We also provide a Telehealth online support program reaching out to rural and remote children and families. Paediatric experts provide support with audiology, auditory-verbal therapy, occupational therapy, social skills development and school hearing screening. Our aim is to help all children to hear, listen and speak so they can attend a regular school, have wider career choices and can more fully participate in their community. We achieve this by interfacing state-of-the-art technology (including digital hearing aids and implantable technology such as cochlear implants) with the Auditory-Verbal Therapy approach. We are a not-for-profit organisation and must raise more than $10,000 each year, for up to five years, to teach one child with hearing loss to listen and speak. Your purchase of flowers from Petals is helping to open worlds for children. From the team at Hear and Say, Children and Families Thank you.
